Download: Eros- The Angel of Christian Charity
It was 8:00pm on the 5th of February 2012 when I headed to Piccadilly Circuis with my gears and a great hope to capture something interesting. I looked around and saw the long awaited first snow flakes of winter 2012. It was just too early to see the streets of London covered in white.
At about 11:00pm, everything around Piccadilly Circuis was covered in thick snow I was waiting for. The statue of a cupid boy with spreading wings in the photo is known as The Angel of Christian Charity. It is popularly known as Eros, named after the mythical Greek god of love.
The neon signs from across the street casted a good lighting on Eros. Also, it’s great to see the snow-fall in action. I used the thick snow on the switchboard as a foreground to block the other elements around Piccadilly Circuis and to demonstrate the thickness of the snow.
