Download: Fishing in Mandalay
Location in this photo is same from the posts Colors of Sunset and Sunset in Mandalay except, this time, the water level was quite high in the lake due to the monsoon rains. However, the weather was still as hot as 27 c in the morning and goes up to 35c – 37c.
I was there with a hope to capture nice colorful sunset photos. However, there was no sign of the sun with thick clouds covering all over the sky. Immediately, I surrendered my hope for the sunset photos and started to hunt for the elements that made the place unique.
Interestingly, most of the fishermen in Taung Ta Man lake were fishing from inside the water. After a careful observation, I chose to hire a boat so that I could approach the fishermen up-close and take some interesting photos. And I had a lucky break as the volume lights broke through the cloud to give me a beautiful background for the snaps.
